Day 1: June 7 – Depart for Morocco!

Excitement builds as you board your direct flight from New York to Casablanca. With meals and entertainment onboard, enjoy a restful overnight journey across the Atlantic. Adventure awaits!

Day 2: June 8 – Welcome to Casablanca!

Morning: Touch down in vibrant Casablanca! After a warm welcome, we’ll whisk you away to the luxurious Barcelo Anfa Hotel for a day of rest and relaxation. Explore the city or unwind at the pool. Enjoy a leisurely evening before settling in for the night.

Day 3: June 9 – Explore the Wonders of Rabat

Morning: After breakfast, begin your Moroccan experience with a visit to the iconic Hassan II Mosque, perched on the Atlantic shores. This architectural wonder will take your breath away! Continue to Casablanca’s old quarters and bustling medinas. By mid-morning, we’ll be on the road to Rabat, Morocco’s royal city.

Afternoon: Stroll through the stunning Kasbah des Oudaias, visit the historic Mausoleum of Mohamed V, and discover the enchanting ruins of Chellah. Spend the night at the majestic Sofitel Jardins des Roses, surrounded by lush gardens and Moroccan luxury. BB

Day 4: June 10 – Onward to Fez via the Imperial City of Meknes

Morning: Following breakfast, our journey continues to the ancient city of Meknes, where you’ll be transported back in time as we explore the grand Bab El Mansour Gate, ancient stables, and awe-inspiring ramparts.

Afternoon: Wander the Roman ruins of Volubilis, then venture to Fez, the spiritual heart of Morocco. Spend the evening at the luxurious Sahrai Hotel, nestled in the hills with stunning views. BB

Day 5: June 11 – Dive into the Medieval Magic of Fez

Morning: After breakfast, get ready for an immersive day in the mystical city of Fez. Discover the winding alleys of the Medina, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where centuries-old mosques, colorful bazaars, and ancient crafts will transport you to another era. From the famous tanneries to hidden madrasas, Fez will captivate you.

Afternoon: Experience the Dar Batha Museum, an 18th-century palace filled with artistic treasures. End the day with a sunset stroll through the atmospheric Jewish quarter, Fez J’Did. BB

Day 6: June 12 – Into the Sahara Desert

Morning: Following breakfast, our adventure calls as we travel toward the towering Atlas Mountains and the desert town of Erfoud, a gateway to the Sahara. Along the way, pass through lush valleys, cedar forests, and ancient villages.

Evening: Enjoy dinner at the hotel. BB, D

Day 7 – June 13 - Erfoud / Merzouga – Desert Adventure and Sahara Camp Overnight

Morning: After a refreshing breakfast, the thrill begins as 4X4 vehicles arrive in the late afternoon to whisk us away on a 31-mile journey into the mesmerizing Dunes of Merzouga. As the golden sands stretch endlessly before you, prepare to step into an Arabian Nights experience! We'll arrive at a luxurious desert encampment where the mystique of the Sahara surrounds us.

This is where you can ascend the towering dunes to watch one of the most stunning sunsets of your life, the sun sinking into the vast Sahara as it paints the sky in hues of orange, red, and purple. As the stars emerge, we'll enjoy a traditional Berber feast under the endless Saharan sky. The night offers the opportunity to stargaze in one of the clearest skies in the world. Let the serenity of the desert envelop you as you settle in for a magical overnight stay at Merzouga Luxury Camp. – BB, D

Day 8: June 14 – Merzouga / Tineghir / Todra Gorges / Ouarzazate – 231 miles

Morning: Rise early to catch the Saharan sunrise, a breathtaking view as the sun peeks over the dunes, casting long, dramatic shadows. Camels will be waiting to take you on a short trek up the dunes—a quintessential desert experience. After breakfast, we’ll return to Erfoud by 4X4, rejoining our private bus to continue our adventure.

Our next destination is the incredible Todra Gorges, where nature has sculpted towering canyon walls, perfect for a scenic walk or photography. As we drive through the lush Dades Valley, you’ll see kasbahs and ksours (palaces) nestled among the green riverbeds, contrasting beautifully with the surrounding rugged terrain.

In the late afternoon, we arrive in Ouarzazate, the gateway to the Sahara, famous for being the backdrop of epic films like Gladiator and Lawrence of Arabia. Tonight, we relax at the magnificent Berbere Palace Hotel, enjoying a delicious dinner and some well-deserved rest.

Day 9: June 15 – Ouarzazate / Marrakech – (157 miles)

Morning: After breakfast, we depart for Marrakech, starting with a short drive to visit the most famous kasbah in Morocco, Ait Benhaddou. This stunning UNESCO World Heritage Site has been featured in many films and is a large, fortified village of winding streets. Many of its residents still live within its walls and are happy to show visitors around their homes. The Kasbah itself is made of deep red earth, with intricate details carved into its walls, creating a breathtaking scene. You'll access the kasbah through a modern town filled with shops and restaurants.

After lunch (on your own), we’ll visit a Berber village known for preserving Morocco's ancient culture. It has served as the backdrop for legendary movies like Jewel of the Nile and Lawrence of Arabia. You’ll feel like you've stepped back in time as you explore this village, virtually unchanged since the Middle Ages.

In the late afternoon, we continue our journey to Marrakech, arriving in the city where we will spend the next three nights at the luxurious Sofitel Marrakech Palais Imperial & Spa Hotel. Overnight at the hotel. BB

 

Day 10: June 16 – Marrakech – City Exploration

Morning: After enjoying a delicious buffet breakfast at the hotel, we’ll embark on an exciting day of exploring Marrakech. The morning highlights include visits to:

  • The towering Koutoubia Minaret

  • The beautiful Saâdien Tombs

  • The peaceful Menara Gardens

  • The historic Medersa Ben Youssef

  • The exquisite Bahia Palace

After the morning tour, you’ll return to the hotel for lunch (on your own) and some relaxation.

At 2:00 PM, we head out for an afternoon adventure in the colorful souks of Marrakech. These bustling markets sell spices, carpets, jewelry, and handicrafts, and the artisans have preserved the ancient techniques used for centuries.

As evening approaches, we visit the iconic Djemâa El Fna square, where street performers, storytellers, snake charmers, and magicians bring the square to life. Overnight at the hotel. BB

Day 11: June 17 – Marrakech – Jardin Majorelle and Leisure

Morning: After breakfast, we follow our guide to visit the famous Jardin Majorelle, one of the most delightful and serene places in Marrakech. This meticulously designed botanical garden was created in the 1920s by the French painter Jacques Majorelle. Now, it is owned and beautifully maintained by Yves Saint Laurent. In the former artist’s studio, you’ll find a museum of Islamic art showcasing Saint Laurent’s collection of North African pottery, carpets, and furniture.

Afterward, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure, returning to the hotel for overnight. BB

Day 12: June 18 – Farewell Morocco

Morning: Enjoy a leisurely breakfast before we transfer you to Casablanca Airport for your journey home. Take home memories of a lifetime! BB
