Depart from JFK Airport on board Egypt Air non-stop to Cairo. Overnight onboard the plane. Inflight meals.

Day 2
|
Cairo:
Arrive Cairo where you will be met by an HLO representative, assisted through formalities and transferred to your hotel. Overnight in Cairo. BB

Day 3
|
Cairo:
Egyptian Museum, Old Cairo, Pyramids, Sphinx
The day begins at the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, home to the vast treasures of Tut; then proceed to medieval Old Cairo where you will visit a 1,000-year-old Christian Church and Ben Ezra Synagogue. After lunch on your own, visit Giza where you will tour the world-famous Great Pyramids, Solar Museum, and the legendary Sphinx. Overnight in Cairo. BB

Day 4
|
Cairo/St. Catherine:
Drive to the Sinai. Follow the path of Moses as he led his people out of Egypt. Proceed by private A/C bus from Cairo, over the Suez Canal, to the Sinai peninsula. Take a lunch break by the water where Moses parted the Red Sea. Then across the Sinai desert, passing an oasis and Bedouin tribesmen tending their flocks. Dinner and overnight in St. Catherine. BB, D

Day 5
|
St. Catherine, Egypt / Jerusalem, Israel:
After breakfast depart for Taba/Eilat to cross the border into Israel where you will be met by an HLO representative, assisted through formalities, and transferred to your hotel in Jerusalem. Overnight in Jerusalem. BB, D

Day 6
|
Jerusalem-Old City: Mount of Olives, Garden of Gethsemane, and City of Bethlehem
Breakfast at your hotel. Drive to Mount Scopus for a view of Old and New Jerusalem then on to the Mount of Olives, the Garden of Gethsemane, and visit the Basilica of the Agony. In Bethlehem to visit the Church of the Nativity and Shepherd’s fields. Then continue to Jerusalem for a walking tour of the old city of Jerusalem: the western wall, Temple Mount with the Dome of the Rock (entrance to the Mosques not included). Walk along the Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher and on to Mt. Zion to see King David’s Tomb, the Room of the Last Supper and Dormition Abbey. Walkthrough the Cardo and the Oriental Bazaar. Overnight at a hotel in Jerusalem. BB, D

Day 7
|
Jerusalem: New City
Breakfast at your hotel. Visit the Israel Museum and Shrine of the Book, where the Dead Sea Scrolls are displayed. Continue to Yad Vashem Memorial to victims of the Holocaust. Proceed to the Hadassah Medical Center to view Marc Chagall’s stained-glass windows and then to the Model of Jerusalem during the Second Temple period. Overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8
|
Jerusalem/Jericho/Tiberias:
After breakfast, drive via Jericho, the oldest city in the world, through the Jordan Valley to Beit Shean to visit the excavations of the former Roman city. Continue to Yardenit, the baptism site. Proceed along the shore of the Sea of Galilee and drive up to the Golan Heights for a view of a former Syrian fortification and the Syrian border. Overnight in Tiberias. BB, D

Day 9
|
Tiberias / Capernaum / Tagbha / Mount of Beatitudes / Tiberias:
This morning depart for Capernaum to see the ruins of the town of Jesus and ancient synagogues of the second temple period. Tour the Sea of Galilee by boat before continuing to Tagbha, where the Miracle of the multiplication of the loaves and fishes was performed. Then drive to the summit of the Mount of Beatitudes, site of the Sermon on the Mount. Overnight in Tiberias. BB, D

Day 10
|
Tiberias / Nazareth / Caesarea / Tel Aviv / Cairo, Egypt:
After breakfast proceed to Nazareth to visit the Basilica of the Annunciation and Joseph’s carpentry shop. Continue to Caesarea and visit the Roman Theater, Crusader Fortress, and Aqueduct. Enjoy excavations from Roman, Byzantine, and Crusader periods. Then drive to Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport to meet your evening flight to Cairo. Arrive Cairo where you will be met and transferred to your hotel for overnight in Cairo. BB

Day 11
|
Cairo: Sakkara & Memphis, Citadel Fortress, Mohammed Ali Mosque & Khan El Khalili Bazaar:
In the morning drive to Sakkara, where you will see the Step Pyramid of King Zoser, history’s first stone building, and then continue to Memphis, the ancient capital city of Egypt. After lunch on your own proceed to tour Saladin’s Citadel Fortress, site of the magnificent Mohammed Ali Mosque and other Islamic architecture. Then continue to the exotic Khan El Khalili Bazaar for a taste of Egyptian Shopping. Evening (11 PM) transfer to Cairo airport for the return flight to the USA. BB

Day 12

Cairo/USA:
You will be transferred to Cairo International Airport for your flight home and a lifetime of memories.
